As a member of the Sherlock, Avengers, and Doctor Who fandoms, I would like to say… I’m okay with you Homestuck. I’m very okay with you.
Man, when I googled the name of my main blog, some of the first things that came up were posts about that ridiculous cosplay vs. brownfacing argument I got in.
That makes me sad. The whole thing really showed an ugly side of me. A weak side too, since I ended up dissolving into tears and having my friends try to fight a battle that didn’t even need fighting.
I mean, hell, this is the internet. Everyone’s got an opinion. I should’ve known better then.
But… well, I won’t go and delete any of that stuff because… that would be dishonest. Even if I have changed in those months since that debacle, there’s no denying that the whole affair was a certain window on to my personality. For better or worse.
I think I should go to sleep now. It’s 3 am.
